"It Runs In The Family" is shortlisted for "Best Podcast" at the CIPR Excellence Awards

February 21, 2019

The "It Runs In The Family" podcast hosted by mother and daughter duo, Liz and Leila Willingham has been nominated in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Excellence Awards.

This award recognises podcasts showcasing excellence in content and production, offering audiences fresh perspectives as well as inclusive and compelling content.

Liz Willingham, Leila Willingham and the team at Liz Lean PR launched the podcast with Podcast Labs back in February 2021, and since has released over 30 episodes welcoming a spread of fascinating family-run businesses including guests from Rick Stein's, Hall & Woodhouse, Double Dutch Drinks, Thatcher's Cider, Scrumbles and The Squirrel Sisters to name a few.

They've heard great anecdotes of Dragon’s Den experiences, near fatal on-site mishaps, and the pressures of taking over from the previous generation.

The show has reached over 44 countries and has ranked in the top 3 of family podcasts in the UK, showing this nomination is very much deserved.

The awards ceremony will take place on 8th June 2022, and we wish the very best of luck to them!
